The $1.2 billion LDK Polysilicon Facility in Xinyu City, People's Republic of China (PRC) is the one of the world's largest polysilicon production facilities.

Fluor served as the facility's engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance contractor and managed the activities of multiple Technology Know-How Providers (TKHPs), responsible for integrating various technologies and carrying out detailed design, procurement, and construction of this fast-track project.

The first of three production lines was finished in record time, allowing LDK Solar to begin initial production of photovoltaic silicon less than 24 months after the start of construction.

Construction of the second line was completed in July 2011 with the third and final line completed in late 2011, meeting LDK's schedule and budget requirements.
